And what amazing things can they do with grated soap? It smells nice. It can be stored in a jar. It is slippery. And it makes bubbles when you whisk it! So much exploration, but also real practical life skills that transfer between centre and home.
Montessori children will observe their parents grating cheese at home and they will want to take over and grate it for you… because they can.
Children enjoy doing real work immensely.
